Flippa is growing and we’re looking for an experienced writer who thrives on creating exceptional content to engage and educate an audience.  As the market leader in the digital real estate industry, we are looking for a writer with a demonstrated passion for topics that help people to understand small business, how to buy or sell a business and trends.  You will be able to translate complex information into engaging, conversational case studies, industry insights and white papers helping to build loyalty with our Flippa community of buyers and sellers.  Working remotely, this position will work closely with our Senior Content Marketing Manager based in Austin, Texas.

As Flippa’s writer, you’ll get to -  

• Write subject matter articles orienting to the small business sales ecosystem
• Write engaging white papers designed to attract buyers and sellers
• Host and write interviews with buyers and sellers
• Leverage insights from analytics to grow Flippa’s readership
• Help Flippa’s sellers better merchandise their businesses for sale by interpreting information provided by sellers to create compelling listing pages
• Work with cross-functional partners to increase Flippa’s audience
• Offer suggestions for new approaches to content
• Work with People & Culture to develop written content to lift Flippa’s employer brand and profile on our about page and social media (LinkedIn).

What you bring to the table - 

• An ability to understand complex topics and explain them conversationally
• Ability to demonstrate high-quality written stories with a strong customer-first orientation
• Ability to write stories that inform and delight a highly educated audience, creating some buzz amongst our community
• Exceptional written skills including the ability to write for interviews
• You are proactive and have excellent time management skills
• You are a quick learner who can work effectively in an ever-changing startup environment
• You will enjoy working as part of a team to collaborate cross functionally
• You are a motivated, self starter
