About the Opportunity

We are on the lookout for an experienced Recruiter who will help our small but mighty People & Culture team to grow Flippa from a team of ~40 to well over 100 while continuing to enhance our great employee culture and our position as the #1 marketplace to buy and sell digital assets.

As we continue to build a thriving team from our office in Austin, Texas, most of the talent sourced for these new roles will be hired from this location.  Therefore, this position will ideally be located in Austin and will work closely with our existing People & Culture team of two and will report to our Head of People & Culture based in Melbourne, Australia.

As a Recruiter at Flippa, you will get to -  

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment to attract and hire top talent capability and resource our growing team at Flippa globally.
  • Liaise closely with hiring managers to understand the resourcing requirements and capability needed by taking detailed hiring briefs and go-to-market hiring strategies. 
  • Identify and recommend recruitment strategies that will attract and source quality candidates by considering the most relevant job boards and advertising methods (while maintaining a cost focus).
  • Collaborate closely with our People and Culture team members (across different time zones) to ensure consistency, accuracy and speed of our recruitment function.
  • Keep all recruitment activities up to date in our ATS and other HR/Recruitment tools. 
  • Help to improve and streamline our recruitment process to enhance internal efficiency and improve candidate experience. 
  • Introduce methods to build Flippa’s employer brand awareness
  • Build effective relationships and work with external recruiters occasionally as required
  • Effectively communicate the compensation, equity, benefits and perks of working at Flippa and describe our culture to compete for top talent
  • Build a proactive talent pipeline and actively manage these relationships in order to have talent ‘ready’ for future opportunities
  • Work on ad-hoc projects which enhance employee wellbeing and satisfaction.
  • Help to administer our new-starter orientation program for Austin based staff.

What you bring to the table - 

  • 2-3 years of full-cycle recruitment/ talent acquisition experience.   
  • Experience in scale-ups or fast-growing start-ups is favourable.
  • Experience with ATS platforms (we currently use TalentLyft) and LinkedIn Recruiter is a huge plus.
  • Concrete knowledge of US labour laws.
  • Previous experience in marketplace environments, fast-growth tech businesses and/or digital real estate will be considered an advantage
  • Direct knowledge of the small business digital ecosystem will be advantageous.
  • Desire to roll the sleeves up and get involved as required
  • Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity (We're a successful startup that will continue to grow and innovate aggressively.)
  • A strong work ethic
  • Have a positive attitude and desire to “go the extra mile” to achieve great things for Flippa.
  • An ability to build personal relationships over the phone and in-person
