Campaign Marketing and Social Media Specialist

Flippa is looking for a Campaign Marketing and Social Media Specialist. Reporting directly to our Head of Brand & Community, this is an exciting junior-level role where you will be responsible for being the eyes, ears and voice of our social media, driving Flippa community events and webinars, and supporting our affiliate and partnership marketing. 

This role is primarily focused on growing Flippa’s brand awareness and share of voice in the social media landscape and amplifying the Flippa brand and positioning through digital and community events, campaigns, and partner marketing.  The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with writers, content marketing, performance marketing, sales teams and design.

This role would be ideally suited to a hungry and dedicated recent Marketing graduate or someone with 1-2 years of industry experience.

This position will be based in the United States or Australia and ideally located in either Austin, San Francisco Bay Area or Melbourne (Australia) to be part of our growing teams in these locations.

As the Marketing and Social Media Specialist at Flippa, you’ll get to -  

  • Manage current (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and implement new social media platforms that fit the brand ensuring brand consistency across all platforms
  • Use your understanding of the types of content and creative that that needs to be created for different social media platforms using hashtags, day parting and other tactics that yield optimal results for engagement, sharing, insights and brand awareness and other key social metrics and business observations
  • Evaluate and monitor marketing campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports
  • Manage yearly and monthly social media calendar, keeping it fresh and on trend, and in sync with the content marketing calendar and broader Flippa strategic objectives
  • Be a brand voice ambassador and respond to public facing comments on all social channels; field customer-centric, brand and industry discussions to the executive team, customer service or account management teams as appropriate.
  • Research and monitor activity of Flippa competitors’ social media and campaigns
  • Event and experiential marketing: Provide pre, day-of and post event coordination and support for in-person and virtual events to include: event formats and logistics, coordinating with vendors, managing promotion and registrations, ordering marketing collateral, printing name badges, assisting with on-site set-up, registration, and tear down / clean-up. Conduct post-event analysis.
  • Prepare background research on event attendees prior to events, helping SDRs and AM maximize networking and event participation.
  • Work with the performance marketing and sales teams to conceptualize influencer marketing campaigns and bespoke content needs. Build and maintain relationships with influencers. Provide affiliates and partners with creative content and ideas to continually revitalize the partnerships

What you bring to the table - 

  • 2+ years previous experience with digital marketing, social media, events and partner marketing
  • Self-motivation with an innovative creative mindset to drive new ideas and think like a boss
  • Strong skill/experience in analyzing and reporting metrics and ROI of marketing activities
  • Working knowledge of digital event platforms (Zoom) and event promotion management 
  • Knowledge of photo and/or video editing is a plus. Ability to create design briefs and project manage the details
  • Cataloguing, organizing and tracking of social media assets
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work quickly, efficiently, and strategically with a wide range of internal departments.
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility to re-prioritize, multi-task and switch tasks fluidly
  • Occasional travel may be required
